New information will always come out afterwards so don't worry about it. Plus a lot of the information is analyst expectations and opinions, not hard facts just yet.

But you're still generalizing it as a problem inherent only to the 360, which is not the only platform to be doing this. Companies nowadays are charging for everything imaginable. Microtransactions cost way too much but as long as people keep buying them, the companies will keep charging the same price.

It's a perfect example of the difference between console prices and PC prices. Console manufacturers charge more for the exact same game because they have to make their money back with royalty charges, etc.

I'm not going to get too far into this particular quote because there are a lot of reasons for the price difference. Development costs for one. Much of the games being released by Valve use the same technology so they can reuse much of the same assets, game engine, etc. and not have to worry about sky rocketing development costs.

We all want to see our platform of choice succeed. It'll be a weird day when we can all just enjoy the fact that gaming as a whole is doing so well and get along. Not to mention just actually play the games instead of arguing over trivial matters.

Hmmm Microsoft is getting desperate.....

worthless attempt to get more people yet will it really matter?? No, it won't sell consoles, but the only impact will be if someone owns both systems, they'll want to get the 360 version for the content, yet i would bet money that the PS3 will get it's own content....So this could be nothing special at all....
lol interesting but if anyone can shell out endless dollars its microsoft NOT Sony!

I know it's not just a 360 problem, but the games that matter to me from Sony have free content downloads(Killzone Liberation, Motorstorm, Resistance). Well it's not me hating the 360, it's more of i don't need one since i can get any thing that i want on the PS3 that i would want on the 360 or similiar games(Forza 2-GT 5, Gears-Killzone...) Also my GF's lil brother has a 360 and i play it, i actually own Gears of War, which i like alot, but it isn't amazing or anything(which most pc gamers say, while consoles gamers think it's amazing...). I will most likely be buying Forza 2 in a few months used for cheap or maybe trading for it on a game trading website(it;s how i got gears). I don't even own a PS3 yet, but i was hoping around taxes next year since i'll beable to afford a used one, with a ton of games that will actually be out then instead of just reading about buying them now. I'm more of a PSP fanboy anyways!!!

And I'm in the opposite boat.

I have a 360 because everything I want is on it.

As soon as some games are released on the PS3 that I want, I'll be buying one.
