Random Pc Shutdowns

This all started about 5 weeks ago. I would come home and my phase unit and pc would be turned off. Ive thought it might be the gfroster but today what happened was way diffrent. I come home today and the phase is running full blast but the pc is off. Could this still be the gfroster or is my motherboard going to crap.

Jin thinks its probably the gforster. So before i start shelling out money I wanted to see if i could get some input from you guys. The gforster has been acting crazy since i had it. Pushing the on button is like a slot machine. You never know what is going to happen. But my questions is could it turn the pc off and leave the phase on or would it turn them both off in a malfunction. This is the 2nd time the phase has been on and the pc off.Normally it just turns them both off. Im lucky if it can make it a full day without turning off on its own. I do have another weird issue where the pc would restart itself to the bios screen everytime i got more than 15 minutes into a stress test over 4.3ghz.Evap temps were always under -45c and gfroster shutdown is set way below that. Anyways everyones input is greatly appreciated thanks.

Thats probably what it is, if he says so and he knows alot about these things then he is probably right. I have had condensation shut off my mobo (basically made a short) but that would only happen a couple of times at most before your mobo died. So I would think its probably the controller also but I dont have any experience with those things so ..

When you say evap temps were over 45c is that -45c I assume. Also a instable oc could make it crash also. It could very well be that , dioes it do the same thing at say 3.8 ghz.

Heh fixed that ,yeh -45c , Once shut down instress testing ar 4.1 or 4.2 only 4.3 and above. You got me thinking maybe i do have a condensation problem. But Like say it shutdown on me this morning. I saw it do it hit the power on button and it started right back up like nothing was wrong.

Took the evaporator off and there seems to be a residue that isnt die electric grease around the lower power capacitors. Im guessing the board is pretty much almost fried. I think im going back to air and throwing the phase on ebay. Wasnt any condensation though.Im guessing just a board that couldnt handle the added voltage plus the heat from the neoprene being over the power capictors.

Or your system wasnt stable. If it didnt shut down at 4.1 or 4.2 then maybe your cpu or something else wasnt stable and was causing the reboots which would cause the sutdowns. that would be my guess.
