x1650 CLock question

Thread Starter
Alright as you can see im new here but have been wanting to overclock my computer for quite some time now. Since I have a oem computer I thought why not try to clock my new GFX card. I bought this card here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102085

Now I have been running the Atitool and doing as the guide says by upping it 5 mhz every time to both columns. It started at 500 for the core and 800 for the memory. Now I have seen no artifacts at 650 for the core and 1001 for the mem. And my temp stays around 78c while clocking. Just wondering what were some common clocks for this card, or if there is a issue with the atitool or my comp.

Lol sorry for being a noob, thanks for any help.

can't see anything wrong. just keep clocking. as your clocks get higher, it's probably best to run the artifact scan for a bit longer to make sure.

core sounds about right now is your memory really 500.5 not 1001 sounds if thats the case then yes its about right. id say now get a zalman vf 700 or 900 to cool it. im sure you could get it higher.

and a screen shot would be get if you could get one
plus fill out system spec out in user cp

Although... the temperature is a little on the high side... with the rest of my system being in the low to mid 30's, that is way high @ 78c, but like Whe3ls said, get an aftermarket HSF combo and it should cool much more efficiently.
