BT Homehub arriving soon ! Any opinions or advice ?

Well I have an ADSL connection with BT and for ages ive had the typical USB modem they supply you with ( Its crap ).I also got it as sometimes my PC wouldnt connect to the net..I personally blame the modem/Drivers for it, hopefully getting the homehub may help this issue also. I also wanted to go wireless so I went looking around and came across the BT Homehub which I can use to replace my existing modem and gain Wireless out of it for my PS3 amongst other devices.

Well it was my lucky day yesterday as I purchased one off Ebay *New* for £19 Inc p&p...I was rather pleased as they retail for £80+. I love bidding on ebay and winning lol.

To the point. I have no experience with the BT Homehub and im sure its very easy to setup like most networking devices. All Im asking really is does anyone have any advice or pointer/Opnions on it before it arrives and I get started ?

Would be nice to hear from anyone on the matter

Yeah Ebay FTW mate. Its only FTL when you get scammed but then again thats not ebay as a whole creating that problem.

Well I doubt Ill get any worse than I do now...my connection is pretty crappy at the moment. Also I would have the hub connected via wire to my PC. Only Wireless to my sexy PS3 for folding.

What modem do you have now? I was getting max of 1.3 meg with the hub, got the Voyager210 from my dad 'cause he bought a d-link and I pretty constant 5.3-5.8 meg now .

BT always have stupid RRP's on their products so finding a home hub for £20 is commonplace. I've never encountered poor speeds on my BT Home hub, i get about 6.5Mbps from an 8Mb connection. It's very simple to set up, i haven't encountered any problems, if your connection does seem a bit slow, BT sometimes states that it takes up to 2 hours on initial startup for the Home Hub to get optimized speeds.
