I dont like it when everyone has the same thing as me, so i modded mine

I agree. No two people are alike, some people want the absolute best performance, some want HTPC silence, and most people want somewhat of a mix of both. I think that an Antec 900 and Thermaltake Armor are just blurted out because they are popular. When someone recommends an ATX Case with good airflow I would recommend:

-Antec 900
-Antec P180(B)
-Thermaltake Armor
-SilverStone TJ07 B
-Cooler Master Stacker
-Cooler Master Centurion
-Most Lian Li Mid & Full Towers

Some people just immideately say:

"zOmfG get a 900 iTZ LIKE OMG."

Just like when people say:

"GET A THERMALTAKE ULTRA EXTREME!!11!"

It got 1C better temps than a Tuniq Tower because it was running with a higher CFM Fan. That doesn't mean it is so much better than a Tuniq Tower that a TT120 shouldn't even be mentioned.

Yeah i give a few suggestions, which usually include the centrion, and 900 but i dont soley say the Antec 900.. I like it when people spend time in helping me here, so i try and do the same by giving quality advice when someone is going to spend money.

Lol i did more then add stickers.

lol

I got an Ultra Aluminus at the same time I got my first Antec 900. I built a rig in each and let me tell you there is no comparison--for aproximately the same money the engineering and build quality of the Antec won me over. I may still mod the Aluminus for LC but it's so darn flimsy I am not really puting it up on the top of my to mod list...which is very very long

I have built a fair number of rigs and I have found certain things I like and several things I dislike. First of all if the case fans make noise because of some wierd obstruction in the chassis it's a turd--plain and simple--there is no excuse for a PC case fan to be humming because the desigenr did not figure out how to make room for it. Plenty of Cases with 120mm fans make a ton of noise. The Ultra falls in that category.

And I like cases that put form before function--what the heck do I want a lil half door or wing hangin off the front of my PC for? Everytime I pop in a disk I half to mess with the door. Ditto the slew of "Gamer X" cases that flood the market now that PC modding is ZOMG teh HXR...if it has a swoopy molded plastic frontpanel I want to barf...

I like trying different cases but sometimes a case comes along like the Coolermaster Stacker 830 or the Silverstone Temjin that are great but unaffordable--even for me $300 is too much--so when I see a case with superior engineering and room to mod for around $100 I take notice.

Honestly I cannot think of a better case for $115 shipped (Circuit City) and that is why I devote so much time to modifying and improving it.

IMO the 900 is just a great bang for the buck--like a P5K Vanilla or E6600 or Big Typhoon--once people see what works they are going to try it first rather than experiment with other stuff.

I think it's interesting to read all the reasons people like the case...this poll seems to be bringing out the 900 supporters... go figger.

the 900 is whisper quiet. even with the fans on high I can't hear it unless I really try.

The case design is well thought out and the eye appeal seals the deal.

All in all a great case, and 'overused' ? Who the hell cares, its an awesome case that does exactly whats promised, great airflow, drive mounting and it even lends itself to a good bit of personalization.

Actually, it promises to help you "pwn every n00b ever spawned" and "impress all your friends at our next LAN party" so it doesn't do EVRYTHING it promises

I'm kinda torn because I have the 900 and I love it, but on the other hand, I wish I were the only one. At least it feels good to know so many people have it so it must have some kind of appeal. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that I paid $160 when I should have gotten it from Newegg for $120.
