i have a Core 2 duo E6600 (2.4Ghz) overclocked to 3.24Ghz but it requires 1.55V to run stable on Prime 95. isnt that a little high? i didnt want to go over 1.5V

My ram is Corsair XMS2@ DDR2 800 at 720Mhz 4-4-4-12 1:1 with CPU

all extra features like hyper path are disabled.

MCH voltage is 1.55V
FSB term coltage is 1.4V

CPU is watercooled. never goes over 44*C or 111*F

motherboard is ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe

how can i get more from this system?

The Asus P5W-DH Deluxe/WiFi-AP is not an "amazing" motherboard for overclocking. It is great, solid, and stable. But, the maximum FSB I would push it to would be 400FSB.

If you want to reach a high speed I would recommend rasing your FSB, however, that you cause your ram to run at a slow speed. Is your ram DDR2-667 or DDR2-800 stock?

I run mine at 3.15ghz which is 90mhz less than yours and I use AUTO for VC and it's less than 1.40v.

Everything else set to auto and no issues. No need to raise the NB voltage nor FSB Termination either.

My load temps are also 44c. And I use a 4:5 ratio.

my RAM is DDR2 800Mhz stock with 4-4-4-12 timings at 2.2V

the link provided didnt work.

when i try anything on auto i dont get very far. im just wondering why i have to have my Vcore at 1.55V at such a low speed with excellent cooling. could i just have a CPU that doesnt overclock like others in its series?

Found your problem, reguardless of mobo you WILL need to up your NB volts more than that if you want higher FSB, this board goes up to 1.85v up it to 1.65 and try lower CPU vcore. The known FSB wall for this board so far is 430 - 434FSB. Haven't seen anyone break 434FSB yet.
