I have a 3700+ @ 2.51 ghz atm and I was considering buying a 4200 X2 for $65. Would that really be worth it for me because I'm probably going to be building a new computer in the next 3 months.

Yes, its a big difference. Most new programs/games are dual threads and you WILL notice an increase in fps and in every day surfing and using your computer.

Yes you will notice a difference if you multitask or if you're playing more demanding games

If you're building a new computer in three months, what will this computer be put to use as?

Was going to probably sell it.

As you can see my specs below... I was thinking about trying to get $600 for my comp... would that x2 give me a lot more resale value?

Probably as much as you paid for the cpu...you could hold off on a complete upgrade though.
