I was able to at least increase my best Q6600 OC to 4496mhz and RAM was at almost 1600mhz. If I can get another 26mhz out of the FSB I think I get the WR for the Q6600.

Time to hit the sack for now.
WOW am I glad I bought that mobo--cannot wait to phase Audi's Q and see wassup. Do you think you have a special Q Knitelife or is it just you and the magic fingers in BIOS

Thread Starter
I am using the Kingston DDR3 at the moment. They are rated at 1375mhz and were a good deal on newegg. I put a link to a review anandtech did on the Kingstons a few posts up. I just purchased the 2 X 512s because they were reviewed as about the best out at the moment as far as speed and latency. They are destined for a Linux Folding rig which only need 1gig ram anyway.

As far as my OCs go with the Q6600, I have used 6 different CPUs. None have been a dud so far that I have found. The phase does help quite a bit for sure.

The read speeds and latency for the DDR3 seem about par for the course. Although I don't remember getting 8k write speeds. This was on DDR2 at 1200MHz which isn't far from that 1300MHz mark either.

I think we will see the difference once we get a hold of that DDR3 2000MHz stuff Corsair has in production. Until then I don't see DDR3 as being a big benifit. One the other hand I wish I had it now so I don't have to pick up a new board when I want it.

Looks great KniteLife and I'm impressed as always
