Dell Latititude D600

I got this from a liquidation...as is....

connected it to my office and found the compatible ac...

booted up (not really) and power on for 3 secs with battery light then nothing...

-nothing shows up on screen
-then shuts down / powers down

I like tinkering with stuff ...should I bother opening it up and check? or should I just sell it for parts?

its a banged up laptop...it probably died when it was dropped...

is the caps lock light flashing and then it powers down? or something similar to that?

if so its a ram problem, open where your ram is stored and play musical chairs or fiddle with it and it should work. worked for me.

I just pressed hard on the bottom pc...also opened the sodimm area and pressed down firmly...and other areas where there could be a loose connection....

hehe all I need now is an AC adapter from ebay...and to think I just got this baby for free...they were gonna throw it in the trash!!! evil ppl and not to forget to reset the user/admin passwords...yipee...6 more laptops to fix!
