So far so good. I dont have any complaints except that my 6600 is limited to 540 fsb. I have tried every possible voltage and setting with this thing to get it to post above that but no go. It had the same limit on my dfi so I am allmost 100% sure its the cpu. Oh well one of these days Ill get a replacement and see what it can do hopefully.

Still I am pretty stoked it can run the 4:5 ram divider without any issues at all.

Yep, that was the one I really tried on, the dfi I jsut figured it was the p965 chipset so I was like ok whatever. On this guy I figured that I had some setting that was off but I tried everything besides kicking it (may have tried that once or twice) and it was still limited.

Its like the 4300 was for me at 400fsb, the 6600 boots perfect without any issues and totally stable at 540, 542 boots to windows if I am lucky and 545 will crash windows all most instantly if I even make it there.

I tried 550 and 555 but it wouldnt post even into the bios load screen usually. Its definatly the cpu, heard the same thing about similer cpus infact all different types. Its just people dont realize the fsb limitation of a cpu till they start using some good fsb ocing mobo's. Ahh well what can you do.

It performs rock solid at 500x8 though which is about right for this chip. Any higher and I gotta start ramping voltage to high for the gains.

Well I plan to give my Tuniq a run for its $$ on the Q6600. This weekend...we will see what kind of clocks I can maintain on it.

Sorry to jack the thread..

Well technically if I could I could get 540x9 if my chip would do it. I dont think this guy can handle that much though. thats like 4.8ghz which would need some seriouse voltage. More then I wanna put my 6600 under atleast until I get a new cpu. Even then Ill replace the 6400 on water cooling with the 6600 and torture the poor 6400 maybe.

Anyways I hope next cpu is a higher fsb limited maybe like 580 or 600 would be great.

I think with 1.7 vcore and 520x9 you can shot without any Vmod
you have a good cpu with high fsbwall
