I was going to wait for the free keys, but I got home and was watching videos on youtube and could stand it no longer. Curse you fileplanet!! Then around 8pm I started the download, 848mb and my download speeds from FP fluctuated quite a bit due to volume I'm sure, it went anywhere from 180kbps to 300kbps. It installed quickly and with no issues.

The options, settings, controls, player name, clan tag, all of those interfaces were very well done and easy to navigate. The auto system settings seemed to work really well too.

The server browser was easy to navigate and there were allot of servers up although I don't think any of them were on the east coast, most of them I saw were in Texas or Chicago. I guess thats central to all cities in the US so thats a good plan.

Joined a server and started playing, I love the warm-up time personnally, allot of TK'ing going on and just having fun. The movement speed is pretty fast but I didn't find it too fast or anything, it felt right for the game, sprinting your guy pulls his weapon to his chest and the sprint is unlimited, its a good feature as it gets you back into the fight quickly. Vehicles were aplenty, there was no waiting or TK'ing for them whatsoever.

The deployables were effective however where you can put them is very limited and strategic, they are no way overpowering. The arty from the GDF side takes awhile to reload, the rocket launcher one reloads much faster than the cannon one.

As a strogg you can put deployables very close to the first objective, I put an anti-personnel one right there and it was getting alot of hits on guys but I don't think it actually killed anyone, they are also pretty tough, it took several tank rounds to kill one completely, they get damaged and inoperable but can be repaired. It takes many shots to completely destroy it.

The first GDF objective is to construct an EMP thing that takes down the strogg shields over the sewer complex. It's cool because how ever much wrenching any engineer does, stays, like the next guy or whatever continues where they left off, it doesnt reset. It's good because this first objective is heavily defended by the strogg.

Vehicles are really cool, the inside of the Armadillo was really cool. There was a lcd panel on the dash with your name on it while you were driving, WORKING digitial insturments with your speedometer, etc. and really cool on your right is a laptop with the game map running with current objectives and team member locations, it wasn't static it was actually giving you the game map in real time!! I set my game for advanced vehicle controls and was able to do quick powerslides to turn around quick. The field of view from the tank was sweet and the mounted minigun on the turret is wicked, both effective and sounds really awesome, I switched to it and shot down icarus fliers with it!

The strogg vehicles were really cool too, I had my best vehilcle run in the Goliath walker taking out GDF guys and vehicles as they tried to enter the gates of the sewer complex. You can change views with the default <HOME> key to first remove the vehicle hud, then hit it again to get a behind the vehicle view, I was able to drive and effectively use the desecrator hover tank using the follow behind view.

OK graphics and stability. my specs:

E6420 core2duo
evga 680i LT mobo
evga 8800GTS 320MB KO
3072mb DDR2533

The graphics were really good and I had no framerate problems whatsoever without doing any cvar tweaking. It was all rendered beautifully and consistantly no matter how fast I moved or spun around, it was very solid. The water looked really good, inside the sewers shadows and lighting were really nice.

Sorry if I rambled, I only got a few hours sleep and am at work now. Feel free to ask any questions. Basically the game rocks and I can't wait for more!

Beta? Interesting. I'm going to see if I can find a way into that.
I've loved Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and I'm suspicious as to whether vehicles are ruining this one, but I really want to try it out. Seems like you really enjoyed it; hopefully, this'll be the next big "pro multiplayer" game. We haven't had one of those in a while.

I have played the game for like 1,5h and are liking it so far. RUNS GOOD on my machine and its well **** . The only thing that I don´t like is that you get so little ammo in most cases so you can´t go solo, or i guess you can butwhen you run out of main gun ammo you´r dead in most cases. I LOVE the flying jetpack thing really funny to jump around and you can get to loads of good tactical spots.

The Strogs flying "bug" thing that you can remote control and then explode so ppl die its reallly easy to get kills i got 20 kills in one round with that one without even die once so I really think they have to fix that one cuz everyone could eventualy spam it.

It´s really similar to Wolfenstain in the objektiv thing and the voice sound the same in a way.
Watiing for the real game now
