9 series or 8800gts?

Thread Starter
Im trying to figure out if it it worth it to pay 279.99 for the gts, or if i should spend 199.99 on the 7950gt. How much better is the gts? and is it worth the extra 80 bucks?

I'd say spend the extra money on the GTS. You don't have to get the 640mb version rather the budget 320mb version. Then go eVGA so you can upgrade via their program if you want a better card later.

That is a 7 series card not 9. Yeah I would fork over the extra doe for the 8 series card.

Aww, good reason! Did you have the 512 or the 256 version 7900GT? If you had the 512 I would get the 8800GTS 640, If you had the 256 get the 320 version.
