Have I done well?

New to overclock.net, and I have something on my mind right now...

I am building a new rig... Intel E6600 Core 2 Duo, eVGA 122-CK-NF63 680i SLI Mobo, 2GB Patriot eXtreme DDR2 800 (PC2 6400), WD Caviar 250GB SATA 3.0GB/s 7200RPM, Thermaltake toughpower 700W PSU, AND, the video card I chose, the XFX 8800GTS 320MB (560MHz core clock, 1700MHz memory clock).

I am pondering whether or not I should have just blew the extra cash on the 8800GTX, since I have been hearing so much better from the GTX than the GTS. Is the GTX really that much better that it's worth throwing down roughly $300 or so more? I have considered that I game at low resolutions, I'm only running a 17" LCD @ 1280x1024, and quite happy with it. I also considered the possibility of SLI'ing two GTS's in the future if needed. Is this a good route to go or should I have went for the GTX. Too bad its already all ordered from newegg, and the GTS I ordered is non-refundable, but I'd just like to hear some opinions.

Thanks!

I would only change a couple things, the RAM to either Geil Black Dragons or GSkill HZ and change the harddrive to a Seagate .10 Perp Recording

You know XFX has a double lifetime warranty and I've delt with them before they don't check if you overclock or not

Meh, I ordered this PC trying to save a bit of money where I could, and that Patriot RAM is a really good deal at like $89 for 2GB.

i have that same ram but only 1 stick and it is very good... you made a solid choice. it easily does almost 900mhz at 4-4-4-12. i have run it at 700mhz and 3-3-3-6. and it will also do well over 1000mhz with loose timings if you want
