SuperTalent 667 at 505mhz

Hey so I picked up a set of these because they were suppose to oc very well with the dfi 965-s. Anyways when I got them I tried taking the heatspreaders off and broke one stick of them. The heatspreaders are very securly attached.

So anyways I didnt do anything with the one stick that I had left and have been using it to fire up my abit since it default boots at 1.8vdimm. So I decided to give the little guy a shot and happened to get 505fsb 1:1 with 2.2vdimm and 5-5-5-13 timings. I jsut left ram timings in auto.

I didnt try to go much higher or try anyother timings or voltages. Just going for broke to see if they could pull ddr2 1000 and they did. Pretty good for a cheap set of ram.

Not bad why on earth did you try to remove the heatspreaders?

::Edit::

36.985s when the E6600 is at 3.5GHz?? Something is wrong. Either that or it has to do with Vista.

Investigation. I allways remove everything when I get it. Usually the heatspreaders are held on with clips and a slightly sticky thermal pad. These arent, its like a thermal sticky pad glue combo thats really obnoxious.

Oh well live and learn right.

Nice results, I bought my T6UX2GC5 kit for $56 shipped at Ewiz during their Memorial Weekend sale.

Mine are able to do DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 with 2.10V and DDR2 900 4-4-4-12 with 2.15V. I haven't tried pushing them further, but I am still very impressed by this kit.

I think I just might get this set instead of G.Skill HZ's for my budget C2D upgrade!

Are you talking about the supertalent ddr2 667 kit or your crucial ballistics?
This is supertalent and not the cellshock in my sig.

Oh and I jsut ran the 2m test since it requires a little more stability then 1m, if the ram was horribly unstable it would crash it. I just didnt have the time for more testing with it, maybe later.

EDIT: Oh and I dont think these are d9 chips, they are a little bit different size and only have a single group of numbers about 5 or 6 numbers is it. I didnt find anything on them when I was looking a few weeks ago.
