Fedora7: Mode not supported

Thread Starter
i installed fedora7 and it was working well, but i didnt know how to do anything in linux so i wanted to try pclinux, i heard it was much ezer.. now couple questions, is pclinux a plug and play os? it never prompted me to install it.. and when i go to livecd it brings me into a text thing "localhost@root~", and no gui, so do i type a command or something to get it to start? like xstart.. ok so neways, after trying (and failing) to get pclinux to boot to a desktop, i tried to go on fedora again but my monitor displayed mode not supported, so did pclinux mess up my res? and how do i fix it

are you sure you didn't install anything new, like a gfx card or tv tunner?
and are you sure you used the same option to boot Fedora7?

I found that system config utilitys do little good when the default driver is to blame for the trouble
