Athlon X2 3800+ Toledo O/C problems. Help Please. - Page 3

After a 8 hour burn-in... maybe i should keep doing them? gave me 55mghz difference stable

my northbridge voltage is at 1.7 i believe over the stock 1.5. should i go higher?

no that should be enough voltage you may have reached the limit of your chip.

maybe keep doing the burn-ins? i got 55mghz extra stable, maybe i can push it for the extra 45 and be happy at 2.9

ah man, all you Overclocking Wizards must have missed my humble noob post...

I'd *really* love to know what you guys think the MINIMUM requirements would be to clock an X2 3800 (Windsor) up to a modest 2.5Ghz. Thats just cranking the clock to 250 MHz, probly wouldnt even have to underclock the ram.

Whats the cheapest board & ram that could handle that?

Hayimd if you put your FSB to 250 you should be fine with the ram if you can get the right sticks. on the other question i wouldnt know, im not a price guru, just know a bit of overclocking.

Well guys i managed an amazing 32seconds in a 1MB pi (not bad at all for the 3800+) these are my current settings.

I can run it at 2.5ghz full load max temp 39oC with vCore of 1.4 ... i should be able to get over 2.8... just dunno what it is.
