My first C2D OC E6600 4.64Ghz

Thread Starter
I was stood up today by the Fedex man so I did not get my P5K3 Deluxe with DDR3 memory. So I decided to unpack the E6600 and try it out on the P5K Deluxe. I have only ever OCed Quads, so thought this would be fun. I was not able to hit 4.5 with the Q6600, so the first thing I did was set the board to 500 X 9 on my first boot. What do you know, it booted right up. I do think I am bottlenecked on this OC by the RAM. Should be able to push it up higher with the P5K3 since I purchased the 1375mhz DDR3.

Currently stability testing the rig at 4.4Ghz as I could not fold at 4.6Ghz.

So close to sub 11 seconds superPI 1M. Got to shave off that last 5 hundredth of a second.

wow, the P5K deluxe is really incredible for overclocking. 4.4 on quads and 4.5++ on duals. Nice
