CD... I just have to know... Is there anyway you can get your hands on an Enzotech 120mm Fan?

I sold my Silverstone FM121 because it offered no decrease in temps over the stock ENzo fan. Maybe I just dunno what Im doing and someone with more experience could try it?

I read somewhere that it's a Delta fan.

Give me a bit of time. Gonna find it somewhere...

Thanks M8--i may add a few fans to the list..but this is already up to about $150 in fans...gotta draw the line. If someone wants to send me a fan to test and return I will do it.

When run at extreme low on te controller temps go to 48-49C. It is dead silent at that speed--once again the temps are the same as the other fans..

This could get boring real quick--I was hoping for more variation in temp readings at high and low--but it's only 2C...hardly worth putting up that kind of racket for 2C IMO.

On to the FN122

I'm running a couple of tests myself with some 120mm x 38mm "fatty" fans. Perhaps I can lend a couple after I've run them through my own tests.

I'm finding similar results, actually. Whatever differences there are with the fans mounted on my Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, it's a question of 1-3 degrees C max amongst the top contenders. I wonder if we're seeing the principle of diminishing returns here?

Where the fans have lots of differences, though, is in noise characteristics.

(Sorry to thread jack, dude. Shutting up now.)

Far from it I apreciate the input.

I have said this for years--putting too much cfm though a HS is like dumping a 50 Gallon can of water into a quart funnel...most of it deflects off the HSF and into the case.

For instance--with the San Ace (the best sounding high cfm fan so far) the mobo temps wer at 30 someting and now with the FN122 they are at 43C.. A ten C diff in obo temps--which will effect long term atability and in a case would make a bigger diff than on a tech station.

The FN122 is running full tilt and is nearly silent exept for a distinct ZZZZZZZZ clicking sound that I can just barely hear--but is somewhat annoying depite the other wise silent performance.

As you said it seems to be about the noise more so than cooling effect.

I am super irritable when I have to listen to fan noise..so I will be very critical of that in this test.

So far I like the SilenX best in that regard.
