Hi all. I just bought a Xpert Vision 7600GT AGP and i got some problem in installation. Does this graphic card needs power supply? It has a cable with two 3-pins connectors (yellow, black and brown wires). Is this the power supply cable? Where should i connect it to? Sorry i'm not good at this any help will be appreciated!

yes you need to hook up a power cable to the back of it. Check to see if your powers supply has enough poer for it. If it is a stock power supply it might not be enough to power it. But then agian i could be wrong. So check the recommendation for card and check the spec of your power supply.

well at least you know now, You can pick up a power supply pettry cheap, i'd say between 50-70 bucks. depend on brand and store. I had a 7600gs 512mb agp, and ran into the same problem, i ended up buyin a antec 420 psu at office max i think for like 60 buck, but that was a year ago. Just make sure you case is ATX and not a mini ATX.

oh wait. i think my psu is 350W. Do you think it's safe to power the card for the time being while i search for a new psu?

not really. i would get a cheapo 400-500W for ~$25. should be fine. whats the rest of your comp like?

i mean , it might be perfectly fine, or, it might just blow up

If I was you I would get a mid-range psu, just for the reason of future upgrades. Why spend 40 dollars now and the get some new hardware(audio card, 2nd hd, 2nd opical drive) to add on in the future and have to buy another psu.

Alos you might want to fill-in your comp spec, so we can help you moe in the future.
