430 Watt good enough for C2D?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC for college. Right now i have the pretty common/inexpensive TT 430W PSU (the black one). Is it enough to upgrade to a E6600? I'll be running the BADAXE2 with x1900GT, 1 hard drive, 1 dvd drive, 4 case fans, and a zalman9700. Also 2 GB of RAM.

here is the psu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153023

It says in the specs:
Output +3.3V@20A, +5V@30A, +12V@18A, -5V@0.5A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2A

I really would rather keep this one, but I'd be willing to spend alot more than what i got this one for. Probably in the neighborhood of 150, only if necessary.

Only 18A on the 12v rail? No, then.

OC X1900 = 8A
OC C2D = 7A
Motherboard = 3A
HD + DVD + fans = 4A
Once again...

Personally, I wouldn't do that. It is a great value Power Supply but its not one that will run a high end rig, its more for people with my rig and such. Go for something with a little more amperage and possibly 500 watts.

About how many Amps are needed? Is it the 12V rail that matters with the CPU?

I had one of those. Ran an X2 4600, 3 HDD's, and SLI 7600GT's for 7 months. No problems, and solid rails. I would go for it.

Or if you have the money go and buy a good one and not risk it?

No failing at all. I only took it out because I needed to give it to my sister

Very solid PSU, IMO.

But, if you have the funds, get an FSP.
