Buy now, or hold off? 8800

I'm looking at getting a new graphics card, but the thing is... All I play right now is Counter-Strike:Source, and don't really plan on picking up anything new till Crysis comes out. So first off, what's the release date on Crysis, or at least estimated, haha. (Sorry, I'm at work otherwise I'd check myself. This is one of the few sites that isn't blocked.) If it's relatively soon, I'll probably just go ahead and buy a 8800GTS with 640mb's. But I guess the question really is. If Crysis isn't out for a while, would it be worth waiting, and maybe picking up an 8800GTX? Just curious on opinions really. I'm tired of purchasing new graphics cards every year, so I would love the pick up the 8800GTX, but, $550 is a little steep.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I know not right now. But with a 7900 GT, I am limited to what I can play. I'm a perfectionist, so if it doesn't run it WELL. I don't bother at all. I'd probably pay more FEAR if it ran as well as I like. But unless I'm getting 70-100 frames like I do on CS:S, I really dont' bother. So it really has alot to do with the release of Crysis. If I do end up picking one up now, I'd get alot more games than just CS:S. lol

yeah hold off atm at least until the release date of crysis is confirmed. it is likely by that time the 89xx or 9xxx series cards will be out and the 8800gts will become a lot cheaper
