How is the XFX 8600GT?

Alrighty, I was set on buying my friend a 7600GT. Then I figured I might as well let him get a 8600GT, because its a little more money (which he has) and, well better.

I think I am going to get a XFX 8600GT from newegg. Does it support DX10 too? Is there a better 8600GT? Oh and please, this is the amount of money he wants to spend, so I have to keep it at this. Thanks!

Yeah, I've had good luck with XFX. This is a killer card. Full DX10 support and very good clock speeds. Stick with this one.

Yes it's DX10 and XFX is a great name. Have fun with it

Yes, all of the eight-series from nVidia support dx10 and I would take evga over xfx but, that's just my opinion.

Edit: XFX is a great choice too.

This XFX is $20 cheaper, it's just clocked a bit slower.

What do you think guys? Would he really actually notice the difference? He's not exactly gaming anything else other than Wow? I would love to save him some dollars.

Yeah I know, thats what I am thinking. I know it would really run amy game he plays. I think I will go with the cheap one. Or I'll just sit him down and ask him if he wants the spend the extra money.
