RMA X1900GT for XFX 8600GT?

Thread Starter
Should I RMA newegg my X1900GT for a XFX 8600 GT which is 20 dollars less? I decided to return my X1900GT because its was overheating even at stock speed and its get really annoying when it keeps rebooting.

Can the 8600 GT overclock to match the X1900 GT speed or can it go higher?
Please input your opinions!

The 8600GT will run cooler, use less power, and have a greater overclock than the X1900GT. It should perform significantly better in synthetic benchmarks, and slightly better in games. You also get H.264 hardware decoding.

With volt mods, it can reach 900MHz core on just a VF900Cu.
