memory compatibility question .. please

Thread Starter
hi i m thinking of buying good memory for my pretty old pc .. i have Amd xp 3000+ and memory it requires is ddr pc2700 .. i have choices of these three sets

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/66689

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/61699 <-- i prefer this one

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/99493

but i need Your opinions on which one i should be going for and what sort of latencies would i get(on pc2700 and also pc2100 on my brother's p4 2.66) as they are all pc3200 which i suppose are backwards compatible.

Any replies will be highly appreciated. thanks

They will all work, but if your bios dosnt offer ocing the memory otherwise of increasing the fsb for a cpu overclock in turn increasing the memorys speed, the memory will be downclocked to your boards maximum support.

Id say go with the platinums, as they have lower latencies to beging with, so if you are ocing theres more headroom to play with.
