C&C3 Tips/Tricks

Thread Starter
Hey, I just purchased Command and Conquer 3 after watching the 2 latest Pure Pwnage episodes. It seems sweet, and I seem to be getting the hang of it but I know if I were to play against a real person I would get wiped on the floor.

Any tips or tricks any Commanders are willing to pass along?

first tip that let's me play alot longer against ardest ai is get some infantry and base defense as quickly as you can.... and tanks but not too much since they cost more to build... C&C 3 is all about who has the biggest army so go out and try to build nice defense in the starting minute of a game and when you can go out with a small task force to get your enemy to focus on them while you expend your base ... that's how im playing and it works fine but took me time to learn a couple tricks

The trick is to build the biggest army as fast as you can.

Nod: Build a ton of tanks

GDI: Build a ton of tanks

Scrin (My Favorite): Build lots of air

I start of with a refinery first then two extra building quenes. Then I get at least two more refineries to fund me then I build two vehicle factories. Then all you have to do is pump out the units. For scrin swap out the vehicle factories with airports.

I don't know, if you go nod and mass the venom's upgraded with laser, your invincible ... unless your playing a brutal computer that just 'conveniently' surrounds each and every building with a ring of effing AA turrets

Edit: my advice is, first build a crane and a surveyor, soon as the cranes up make a power plant / refinery and send the surveyor our to a close tiberium location. once the refineries done make another and use it at your surveyors spot so you can get a good chunk of change

-Capture as many neutral buildings as possible.
-Garrison as much buildings as possible with a variety of infantry.
-Always build lots and lots of power plants.
-Don't build buildings really close to each other (spread them out in case you get nuked or something).
-Build many refineries to get money faster.
-If fighting against scrin, build a lot of air defense.

The bigest army dosent always win,you do need some skill to be good, try to use planes to take out there power plants,Also try and kill the harvister (can spell)and this will cut off there flow of money, while this his happening send in a big army and while it is fighting make a hole bunch more for a nothere wave. This dosent always work becuase the air denfence stuff somtimes but it has work for me a lot online.

The last patch messes up tactics a lot. Mammoths are no longer a surefire way to win with GDI.

You've discovered my addiction. I've played C&C since the first one came out in 95. Command and conquer is to me what gay is to elton john.

But alas I am tired and don't feel like typing.
