Is 7.5 really that bad?

Hey folks

I have been noticing degrading performance with my XT since the 7.4CCC. After those I used the WarCat7.4s and now the 7.5CCC.

I have noticed my fps dropped below 20 for the first time I can remember since I got my lubbly XT. Max fps has also dropped, I dont max out anymore which is kind of annoying

Are the 7.5s known to be this bad or is there something else going on that I should look for?

Cheers Ent, and others ofc. Ill hope for ATi to release 7.6 too. Almost glad I dont use nVidia atm, else I'd be waiting for a while

In response to Onlyone, I really don't know. Normally this is where the default "Try formatting" response goes in but it shouldn't be a problem unless there isnt enough power going in to the card or the drivers are fubar.... I had that problem with 7.4 for a short time, but that hasn't happened at all since. Hope that helps you

Yea I have been having terrible times with my fps since installing the 7.5s. Most of the time it is ok, just a slightly lower frame rate. The rest of the time however......

I go from 50fps in battle and yesterday I hit my all time low with this card of 8fps. I was pissed, its only WoW at full settings, and this card monstered through it a few months back. I don't know if it is my system or WoW's problem, but I haven't changed anything on my rig except for the 7.5s

I'm using the stock 7.5 and haven't noticed any type of drop in performance yet. I did try the warcat 7.5's and they caused nothing but problems. slow performance corrupted textures, textures failing to load, random crashing on some games and the worst time trying to uninstall them to get the normal ati 7.5's put on. since that though the ati's do just fine.

I too have had some major performance issues with the 7.5s, both the DNA and standard. However I also noticed better IQ in 7.5. I'm sticking with the Warcat 7.4s (trying the Omegas.....) for now.

???????!!!!!!!!???????????
Those aren't out yet, are they? I don't see them on the website...

I haven't tried the Omegas in about 2 years.....well becuase they suck, quite frankly. I only played BF2142 for about 5 minutes and I wasn't very impressed. Quite frankly, the Warcats blew it away.

The WarCat drivers have stopped. I moved from ATI to Nvidia, due to my disappointment towards a lame product such as the Not HD 2900. Also, there is no WarCat 7.5 version. Latest version is 7.4 .
