My new build using tdx block on e6600

ive put together my new system fianally....

i had a 2400+ mobile athlon with a tdx block/ maze4 NB cooler for many years, the dfi ultra b board fianally died (slip of a dremel)

sooooo. i picked up an e6600 and a p5b-plus and all the other goodies for a new pc. i didnt want to replace my WB's so i adapted the old ones to my new build. i used 1/2" lexan to make the cpu/nb mounts..... and the p5b plus had no through holed for the NB, i made curved thread rod that fit the "clips" on the board.

so far the unit is running at 3.1 ghz (burning in) and my cpu temp is 45-47 c.....

heres a link to my pics...

Is the CPU Block good enough for that CPU?

well, like i said the temps are 45-47c and my ambient is quite warm here.... i have core voltage at 1.30 and nb at 1.4 right now..... the system is running at 3.1 ghz.

i will install push pull fans on the rad next and clean up all the wiring and see what itll do. so far its not too bad though. i did notice the block just covers the cpu ihs. its narrow and long....

on my last pc my geforce 4600ti was cooled also, on this one, i left the gpu cooler off, the 8800 oc card i have runs alright without it, and i dont plan on oc'in it anyways. my flow rate is very good.... but the eheim thats running the loop is getting long in the tooth ;-) (3-4 years).....
