then you're doing something wrong.... it should change the clocks

Are you using Catalist Controll Center (ATI program)?

You can type numbers in the box, but for ATi Tool, it only really recognises every 5-15mhz steps, so if you're only moving up like 5MHz, that's why it's falling backdown. Move up about 15 and apply clocks. If your monitor shuts off, you've gone too far. restart the computer and everything will be back to it's original state.

I remember now, you have to do 15 or 17mhz increments, it was the same way with my 1950 pro. Bump it up 15mhz and apply it, see if it will save.

Nope i using ATI tool, so far i OCed from 621 core to 627 core and from 900 mem to 909 mem idk why it dosent wanna go up

You'll be fine, the XT should be good till around 641mhz on the core.
I actually had my first Pro stable at 648 core.
