I'm New to Phase Change - Page 2

lol, If you go to the extreme check out before's grosse bertha, -120 on the compressor head, but the thing is huge, draws a lot of power I'd assume, and is really expensive, about 1200 pounds went into it... but it's insane!

Mine was loud. I think I had the fans at 100% all the time, and it needed to be tuned when I had it so the compressor was always under a little more load than it should have been.

Ahhh ok yeah at 100% the fans are at full tilt and will be a little loud, if you set them to like 80% you get about the same temps and its much more silent.
There are quieter ones out there but generally not by much. If you go with a smaller compressor they can get pretty quiet but the performance takes a big hit as far as temps.

Do the fans have to be a certain type? Or will 2 Silent Extreme 120x38mm work sandwiched?

Um I am sure that would work fine. As long as your moving the air your all good. Usually they setup one at the front of the unit and one at the rear but you could do a push pull thing and still be good to go.

No fans for phase are heavily dependent, you need pressure, not as much on flow.

Not sure that I understand that one. In these apps how does pressure matter as opposed to flow.

These condensors are pretty free flowing with decent sized fins. Even with good air flow Im sure the benefits are gonna be limited. I could be pretty wrong onthis but from playing with mine I dont see much of a imporvement in performance from a certain setting to another.

Our condensers are very high fin density, have to be in the same and volume we have You need that pressure more then the flow.
