Windows search function?

For some reason all of the sudden, when I go to my Start menu, and click search, nothing happens at all. Hopefully someone has some suggestions? It still happens after a fresh boot.

This is somewhat a common issue, to solve it you need to edit your windows registry

Run regedit, then go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\C urrentVersion\\Policies\\Explorer\\NoFind

If "NoFind" has the value "01 00 00 00" change it to "00 00 00 00" and it will probably solve your problem. You will need to restart

Cheers

Thank you for you help, I really appreciate it, but I do have a question. I don't seem to have the "NoFind" in my registry files. Perhaps, this is my problem? (I haven't been able to check back here for a little while, so that explains the delayed thank you.)
