TONS.

I was amazed at the difference between my 4.0Ghz 560 and this 805 @ 3.8. There is even MORE difference between my 805 and a quad core.

What you have came out about 2 or 3 years ago. Compared to C2Ds and the Quad-Core C2Ds, you'll see a big difference.

It'll definitely be worth while but there are going to be come price reductions in all of the C2Ds line of CPUs, so best time to buy a new set-up will be in July, around the 22nd and on.

The Current Quad-Core Q6600 CPU is about $500 but in July 22nd is to be $266 and for that it'd be recommended that you stick with an ASUS P5K-Deluxe which has a P35 chipset, the best for overclocking a Quad-Core C2D processor.

BTW, what's with the puny 3.6ghz to 3.8gh? Clock it to a minimum of 4.20ghz at least. My old 3.60ghz was doing 4.60ghz easy: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=85085

Prescotts are meant to run above 4.20ghz: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=101771

Oh yeah? Any tips on getting my 2.4A prescott up at least to 3.8+? 3.46ghz is all I can get with a P4P800

Yea C2D is a big BIG improvement over the P4..but i think what you need to do is ask yourself if YOU need the upgrade...is you current rig cutting it in what you do right now..if you feel its lagging maybe an upgrade will be worth while..if its not lagging and is still fine for whatever it is you do...why would you need to upgrade?
