I am with Norton just because the salesmen at BestBuy and all those stores have brainwashed me to believe that "Noton is the best", "Noton is the best", "Noton is the best", "Noton is the best".... So that is what I have currently. It uses a ton of resources though I am at 380MB @ startup. NOD32 looks great but I just bought the new Norton so I will be good.... I guess... fo another 300 and some days.

I use bitdefender because it works very well and I don't have any problems with it like macafee/farcry or norton/nfs:carbon .

I had Avast on my brother's computer and it seemed like it hogged just as many resources as Norton does. Although, it still works better than Norton. I like the boot scan option. <--- That is really effective. But how do you find Avast as a resource eater?

I have AVG running on all my systems. I have never had an issue with it. And if I do have a download, it flags it right away.
It has been very solid for me.
