how do i run a divider

there is no option for this in my quick purchased mobo or vcore settings. is there any way round this

I believe that's somewhat of a "budget" board, and it's possible, I believe, that it doesn't have the capability of setting a RAM Divider. Make sure you look around in the BIOS, usually under "Advanced Chipset Options", or something to that effect. Try to find a "Linked or Unlinked" or "Auto" for RAM speed. It's a little different for each board but usually similar to this. Hope that helps.

You remind me of why you can't only get to 3.80ghz in that other post and for some reason I thought you had the ASUS 925XE board but......

I don't think you can run any other divider than the 1:1 on that Intel board.

And the only way around that is to buy a board meant for overclocking, and nowadays the best ones come from GIGABYTE and ASUS.
