Lose signal after installing Nvidia Drivers? (Vista 64)

Thread Starter
I am running an Acer Al2216W 22" WS as my main monitor and a 15" Sony LCD as my secondary. Whenever I install the most recent Nvidia driver (158.xx) I lose signal to my 22" It'll come right back if I uninstall the driver or boot in safe mode. The monitor is detected as a generic PnP monitor with the driver installed... When I lose signal to the 22" the signal shoots to the 15" and it works fine on that, but then I cant use the 22" at all as it wont let me switch back over in display settings!

Anyone having the same problem?

Sorry no. Did it come with any drivers? Use the last driver that worked, hopefully the next release will fix it.

Seems like its a pretty known bug that the Nvidia drivers after 100.65 do not recognize a good amount of DVI monitors.. Heres a link to my exact problem on Nvidia's own forums.. http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?s...=&#entry211001

At least now I can sleep knowing it isnt something with my system..and the 100.65 drivers will work for now...
