Just wanted to post a quick video link to the very best GPU temp stress test I've found. This demo cranks my volt modded 7900Gt up to 70C+ temps ...

Running the Geo-forms demo, at 1280x1024, with MAX settings and for 30 minutes or so ... *seriously* stresses my volt modded 7900GT ...

Nothing I use on a daily basis has reached the GPU core temps that this test reaches.

Also, ... in the middle of the test, the air being exhausted out the back of my GPU cooler (iceberq 6) ... has been recorded at 150F and higher ...

...

Just thought I'd post a word on the chance that some of you might want to download the demo and use it for stress testing.

Hm...sounds nice. I'm assuming this don't work with ATI cards.

What did u guys watch it in? and what all settings were cranked up? i had anisotrophic filtering at 16x ,antialiasing at 4x and refresh at 75hertz but the my card's temp stayed at 60-61C? also are these normal temps for my card at these settings? just got it couple hours ago .

The best way to generate heat is to access the geoforms sliders and max out all the textures and lighting/geometry stuff; run it at at least 1280x1024.

Also, since the demo will loop through different screens/textures ... find one that uses the most lights, textures and transparency and then hit "L" to lock it as the only loop displayed. The image in my original post is a good example of one set of textures/lights/transparency that tends to generate a lot of heat when run for a long time.

Then let that one single loop/texture run for about 30 minutes.

That's what I've done in the past to get the most heat out of the demo ...

Actually nothing loads up my GFX more then the Fuzzy ATItool cube.
RTHDRIBL does give ATItool a run for its money, run a couple of instances of that maxed and W0w
