Thread Starter
I recently updated Vista.

Installing everything it had to offer. (Ultimate Ed)

And afterwards, when I rebooted. My PC hangs on a black screen for around 10 minutes. Before bringing up the login screen.

I have tried:

Last Known Config
Restoring
Searching Google

AND NOWHERE, is this problem found. Apart from one person who also downloaded all the language packs. And said he ust reformatted.

I really DONT want to reformat. Please Please Please, Help me!

Updated! AS in Windows Update?

Clean fresh install of Vista. And then I used Windows Update, to get all the language packs etc.

Wow seems weird.

Only thing i can think of is that on boot up it is taking up all of your RAM and thus slowing it down alot.

however this is highly unlikely.

I'm afraid you may need to re-format

i had the same problem on my second rig. and unfortunately it took a re-format and clean install, not sure why it does it sometimes and not other times, like on my sig rig, no problems.

This was happening to me last week. I had to un-install my nvidia drivers, use drivercleaner in safe mode then re-install all of nvidia's drivers i.e. chipset, gpu etc.... try this if you already haven't. It worked for me....
