I think a cheaper board like the DS3, sell your 6600gt, and buy a 7900gs or something. You'd see a crazy performance difference from that jump!

Another thing to check is the new P5K motherboard, its doing 600fsb! Not that an e6600 often gets there, still a great board for 150 bucks!

6600 is out...You should wait until this time next month. Then go 6850. It will be around the same price and its 3ghz to start.

The other option is going Q4. With that P5B-dlx, you can run a Xeon Q4...next month they will be a lot cheaper too.
*the new P5K is only 149.00$

Save your self some dough and get it, instead of the P5B

Over priced. The P35 chipset has been hitting 600mhz FSB on air cooling! For 149$ you cant beat it w/ a stick!

The RAM you picked is the same stuff I just ordered last week. Reviews on it, are stellar. Most users reporting OC's well beyond 1000mhz.

-> yes, its just the plain-jane version of the deluxe P35. I will have mine on Monday, along w/ the Q6600. So far reports on OC and stability of the P35 chipset have been very good. Even the cheap P5K is out-clocking the P5B-dlx.

I would definatly go with the asus p35 chipset over the 965. The P35 is what the 965 should have been but oh well. Definatly get the asus version of the P35 you wont be disapointed.
