Let me guess, they copied the D-Pad too? How about copying the concept of the controller?

MS copied control sticks from Nintendo, are you *****ing about MS? Nope.
MS copied controller vibration from Immersion, are you *****ing about MS? Nope.
Motion sensing, I see where you come from, but the two are completely different.

The reflective coating is old news btw, and HERE is a good post about it from a PS3 oriented forum, but from what I can tell, its not biased and actually explains it well. I don't know where to find info to back it up, but it does explain it well.

So because he didn't outline every instance where anybody copied anything from anyone his statement is invalid Apple stole the mouse from xerox - that's true too, and just as irrelevant

Seems like a legit post with some good, rare info. It seems that more is at stake here than just BRD

come on... it's going to take a lot more than some little lawsuit to make sony go under. I mean... It's not like their only profits come from their lisence to blu-ray discs... it's effing SONY.

Back in 1873 I thought up the idea that all future discs (optical and hard) should be cicrular in shape. I want damages from anyone who has made, used or seen a circular disc.

I would thing that if they do win and they say "NO" to sony (as in they cant use it)sony would ether have to come up with a new way of making th film or drope Blu ray all to gethere.

Ooor a much simpler answer is that YOUR definition of better (ie. technically more powerful) is not EVERYONE's definition of better.

Perhaps people want a simpler, more fun experience with less bells and whistles?

Either way, Sony wouldj ust have to pay damages, and use another form of protection for its BluRays...tada!
Or they could pay the damage and then pay royalties for the product, which will probably be cheaper than finding a new product or developing their own.
