Problem diagnosed.

as adviced, i took out everything, and planted in the testing parts i used to test the motherboard wen i first got the chance, and used the stock cooler as well. everything worked to my suprise.

then i went ahead on replacing the RAM to the 2GB RAM, and still works!

then, i went to replacing the Celeron D with the core 2 E6600. nothing worked.

i tried again and nohting, so i replaced the core 2 duo back wiht the Celeron D and it worked!

it really suprised me that a new product from October '06 (wen puchased from eBay brand new) doesnt work at all!

why might this be???

500GB SATA Hard Drive
7600GT
Seasonic M12 600W
Tuniq Tower 120

and it camt be a bad CPU, cause it was brand new, and only started using it a couple of weeks ago whe i first starting putting all the proper parts in together.

Try entering them here. This way you don't have to keep posting up your specs each time.

also, i liek to note, neither of the CPUs worked at all when i first had the tuniq tower in and the 2GB RAM in, but as suggested by u lot, i took everything out and placed the stuff in one by one, and yes i did get to hear the speaker finally, and managed to boot up with having the Celeron D and the 512MB RAM in with stock cooling. then i placed in the 2GB RAM and that still worked, then i placed the Core 2, and nothing at all.
which is weird because if the Celeron D didnt work at first why does it now with stock cooling?

and even placing the core 2 in, no response. and plus it was brand new manufactered in Aug'06.

i am very confused. i know i could be doing anythnig wrong, the motherboard works like a charm (as i thought i really damaged it by placing and removing and dropping stuff in it all the time) and the componenets, but only the power baby doesnt!

why is this?

so when you say nothing worked when you put the core2duo in -- like no beeps from speaker or POST? maybe with the celeron in Id get into the BIOS and make sure everything is set up right.

well, i jsut came back on it, and no when i put in the Celeron D, it doesnt POSt at all!

but beofre that when it was working, i did went to the BIOS and load up the setting defaults and saved.

now the Celeron D doesnt work at all. now im getting the nagging of short circuiting it, both CPUs.

this si very very strange to me! what could be the problem on this one?

does it sound familiar.
