wanna guess which one wins for bf2?

with the x850xt pe i can play on "HIGH" settings, at 1024x768 res

with 6800 i can play on "HIGH" setting with everything on max, and 1280x1024 res

AND at those setting the 6800 has better fps

edit-
forgot to mention clocks

ATI Radeon x850xt pe at stock
540/590(1180) it wont overclock without artifacts

Nvidia GeForce 6800 oced
stock 325/600
oced
450/800
no artifacts

Impressive speed for the 6800 I take it that it isn't the vanilla version, because they only had DDR, and it's impossible to reach the speeds you're at with only DDR. You must be owning a 6800Ultra or GT, and they overclock alot

My AGP 6800LE unlocked to GT specs (Apart from DDR3), and it actually ran equal to my PCI-E X850XT, so I chose the 6800 because it had SM 3.0 support

And the other thing is that nVidia has 10 times better drivers than ATI.

I am able to play nearly any game with my x850xt at 1280x1024 with no issues but I have no experience with Bf2 so I cannot speak about that. You should push the core of the x850xt to around 575 easily.

anything above 540/590 gives artifacts

shame that its pci e, the agp one like mine unlocks to 16/6 pipes.

And its not impossible t get those speeds with ddr, my 6800 gets 900mhz on the memory with normal ddr.

I know mine, memory over 540 gives artifacts lol. Did you try to up the fan speed from 8% to like 20%? The x850xt series has a little issue with the fan going too slow (like 4%) thus causing artifacts.
