Ok, i will try and explain the best i can.

It is indeed just fancy textures but here it is in more depth

Like Axon stated the 4th dimension is time

Thus means that the textures 'age' and 'mature' over time

This stops it from being just 3D because they game has the ability to age through 'time'

Giving it - it's 4th dimension

But yes overall it is just fancy textures lol

it just means the world is getting rendered in real time, mud splatters(and stays), footprints fill with water. It's just floating point intensive, but oh wait doesn't the xenos have dx10 capabilities and can do FLOPS on die? wow ps3 eat it a face full of flops. 8 cores? yea right u only get to use 6. I have an article for you. Only 1 core is a ppe the rest are just spe's, and it's still in-order only.

EDIT: CELL however makes up for the lack of DX10 and raw gpu power being very capable of handling intense flops very well. Even so, i really wish you would look into somthing before you post?

To be actually be called 4D... it would have to represent an object including the future, past, and present at once. However, humans cannot interpret this type of information. It is not true 4D display... just a gimmick name.

Yes, there is a 4D... current string theory suggests up to 11D or 12D.

and i thought 4d wasn't at once it was just aging and the comparison of previous, present, and future, no to represent them all at once.

All depends on what theories you believe in. I believe at the moment, String Theory (M) states that there are 12 dimensions. I find it funny that we are only taught the molecular theory in school and they never mention string theory or any others. It is like they make us think that the molecular theory is true.
