In addition, go into your display settings, then advanced settings where your GPU driver settings are. Then go to Image Quality and then set it to high performance instead of high quality or anything else (does NOTHING to quality, trust me), you'll gain 200-300 points for sure!
Man ur an absolute champ that put my score up to 8387 i cant believe that actually made a difference lol, something so simple.

Haha, thanks man.. But don't worry too much about benchmarks, the thing that counts is how satisfied you are with your system, not whether it beats somebody else's. Overclocking is just a way to get more than what you paid for

Now go overclock your CPU to 3Ghz (perfectly attainable with reasonable voltage) and your GPU to 600/1800 (perfectly attainable as well) and report back with higher scores! haha

Overclock may let you run something you couldnt run before non oc'ed. Fraps with source engine at full frame rate. Non oc'ed I can't record without broken fps. OC'ed no problem.

Really?!? Sheesh.. I'd hate to see how poorly my framerates were with FRAPS recording lol

I can't believe the GTX/6600 combo gets hung up on it, even un-overclocked!

I can't record full size 75 fps without it pausing every 10 seconds.

For your GPU, just download ATITool .26 and run the 'Find Max Core' and 'Find Max Mem' tests, that'll take care of you good

Just make sure that before you start the tests, you go to "Settings>Artifact Scanning" and set the Detection for "More Artifacts Detected/Lower Overclock" so the frequency that you reach should be game stable

CPU overclocking is more in depth, but there's a great guide to it in the Intel CPU section, it's right at the top as a Sticky.

That score seems WAYYYYY too low to me. My rig pulls 8417, and I'm on a S939 rig!

He's un-oc'd and you're running Crossfired DX9 cards with a 3.1Ghz X2, it's not surprising that you beat him by a tad...

Think about it, he's running 2.4Ghz, DDR2-533 with crapass timings most likely and a 500/1600 GTS... Highly unoptimized right now.
