To beat him in LOADING CoH? RAID 0 two Seagate 7200.1's or get a Raptor to decrease load times, and then just push that CPU!

Just get the standard 8600GTS because you really won't notice the difference between the stock and the factory OC'd version except for the price. As a word of warning, some 8600GTSes are known to make a high pitched whine... (Headphones FTW)

Your best bet is to get this and then overclock it. XFX's lifetime warranty allows overclocking too .

And do you seriously need a quadcore? They run hot (double the TDP of the C2Ds) and therefore are harder to overclock in the safe range, though I don't see why a quadcore needs much more clocks. The C2Q's are supposed to get a massive price drop soon and the new processors are just around the corner; wait for it and see what's coming. If you can't wait, get a E2140, E4300, or E6320/E6300 and then wait.
