Limewire bad for your computer? - Page 3

I cracked Limewire pro and it has all the spyware/adware. When I download anything that isn't music, I make sure that I scan the file before opening it. Often, it's spyware.

Never had a single problem with Limewire. Just don't use it like a 'tard and you'll be fine.

+1. I haven't had a problem with my copy of Limewire Pro. Stay away from wma files as well. I've heard they can have trojans and stuff embedded in them.

Limewire is the equivalent of walking into an AIDS clinic and asking for sex.

That's another way of putting it.

One thing I don't get is everyone talking about spyware and popups and ... I use Limewire Pro and haven't had a single popup or advertisement or anything, scanned my computer regularly with spybot and adaware and it rarely detects anything. Is it just the basic version that seems to be filled with crap?
Ive never gotten pop ups with frostwire or anything like that. And my isp sucks so bad I have a 4 hour bandwidth cap.

Erm, no. Limewire Pro has no adware attached to it whatsoever. My version of Limewire Pro has never given me any adware or spyware.
