Hey Guys.

I have finished a build for my parents and was wondering what you guys think.

They want everything new so nothing can go wrong so no 2nd hand components

Media - DVD's, Music, Online Video
Web - General surfing, Email, Banking
Gaming - None, got the 360 for that (Says dad )
Overclocking - My mum says voltage scares her so no

What I have chosen.

The 3600 is a very potent CPU. NEC DVD drives are nothing short of amazing, and that PSU should be enough. A little on the low side, but I don't expect issues because you'll be using integrated graphics.

The only other thing that I have reservations about is the Maxstor drive. I know they've been bought out, but I can't seem to get the rampant failures of a few years ago behind me.

The only thing i see is that you should invest in a 400 or 500 Gb hard drive.... they are worth it for media rigs and an Antec PSU, Smartpower 450 or 500 Watt.

I would go with a single core cpu, what do they need a dual core for? They dont game or do anything cpu intensive. I would stick with onboard graphics too.

I have a 400Gb and have 250Gb free and they don't have half as many programs as me. So 250Gig will be enough.

Anything else?

Also just incase you update to BR or HDDVD down the line, check if your gfx card is HDCP compliant, but i see youve got onboard video, i dont know if that is something you want to consider? cos when you move onto HD content in the future you'l be locked down to lower resolutions, unless you get the videos from the net then youl be fine
