Usually the thermal paste that comes with the heatsink isn't all that great. I would highly recommend getting some AS5. You'll of course have to remove all the other paste you put on before. To do that use some high purity isopropyl alcohol and LINT FREE cloth like a camera lens cloth or a coffee filter. If you check out that site I post last time it has everything you need to know.

I have a Zalman, so I used the stuff that came with that, but I will use AS5, do you think that would make that much of a differnce? Also was my AUX temp nething to be alarmed about?

I think the AS5 will make A difference, whether or not its going to be a big one I'm not sure. But at this point with the list of things getting shorter I think its a good idea to take any drop in temp you can get.

As for the AUX temp I'm honestly not even sure what that refers to. I have speedfan too and for me it says Temp3 and it stays at -2. The main temps you want to keep an eye on are your SYS temps(northbridge) and your CPU temp.

As for your case fans, how are they presented out? Are the air flow going the right way? And how about your room temperature? You have to count all these factors too. Artic Silver 5 will definitely help too.

I put on the AS5, and the other stuff hadnt set yet either, and the temp is still the same, as for the room temp its at 78 degrees as we have the air on, I have 2 fans on the front, one on top and one in the back right behind my zalman fan. I have checked the airflows by turning them off and they help the case temp very slightly. I am really stumped, any other ideas anyone?
