FSB Overclocked

Thread Starter
So yeah, dropped the multi to 7, cranked the FSB up to 1333MHz, so I'm still on stock frequency: 2.4GHz. My voltages are set to Auto in BIOS, and the auto is 1.4V for the FSB. When the FSB is not OCed, its voltage is 1.2V, should I just try to put the voltage like to 1.3V or even 1.2V? The CPU Vcore is 1.4V which is normal as its frequency wasn't changed.

Yeah, you should be able to run that on the stock (1.2) volts.

I'll try to see if it's stable.

Ya but I have a dramatic overclock on my FSB, from 1066MHz to 1333MHz, it's pretty big! Can you cause damage by under-volting the FSB?

...News flash! 1.4vcore is NOT normal.

News flash, 1333mhz FSB is NOT a dramatic OC either.

Higer FSB is better.....

Let your OC be based more on FSB than multi - you'll see an improvement in benches..

Usually, you get your increase in performance from raising the FSB and lowering the CPU multi. Doing so will increase the speed of the NB, providing an increase in memory bandwidth and throughput.
