Stuck on first overclock

Thread Starter
My e6600 and I stuck at 3.36. I have been unable to upload the screen shot so I am going to have to plug the numbers in for you all the manually.
FSB 1495/ 373.7 mhz; vcore 1.40v, vdimm 2.1v, cpu fsb volts auto, spread spectrum disabled. intel speed step disabled, 30 min orthos stable temps during test as follows speedfan cpu 47c core1 52c, core2 52c, pc wizard 07 48c, core0 52c, core1 52. now I just can't seem to get anymore out of her. I know she has more in her, when I get FSB up to 1500 I freeze up while loading before I can get into bios. I am at the wall, or can i tweak some more. If I can tweak any ideas on what? thanks.

Well, that is almost a 1GHz overclock, so that might be the end of it....haven't ever fiddled with the new Core 2's in an overclock...but what is your FSBRAM ratio? Is your ram running faster than it is rated to run? If so, put it at a slower divider.

In addition to this Ratio, you may want to loosen your RAM's timings to a really loose timing...maybe like 6-6-6-20...and just re-adjust later after you have overclocked all that you want to do...

If this isn't the problem, maybe bump the FSB voltage to the second level, but i don't recommend any more than that unless you have an aftermarket northbridge cooler....this may not even help you at all, but just an idea...for some people it does let you get a bit more of an OC...
