What OS?
If it's Windows the files and settings transfer wizard will take care of that for you

Well I'd use the floppy from norton ghost, it makes mirror images of your old harddrive onto your new one.

File transfer wizard. Or if it can be installed on the a different controller on the new board just copy all the stuff you want on the old HD to the new. Then unhook the old one.... I guess.

I am confused on what you want. Do you want a link to a good 3gb/s hard drive? Honestly, even at 1.5gb/s you will not notice the difference.

If you can connect the new hard drive to the computer at the same time as the original drive, then I would recommend Wester Digital's Data Lifeguard Utility. Basically run it in windows. You just connect the new drive and run the copy hard drive utility. It will copy your primary hard drive to the new drive. Then it will have you power down and replace the old drive with the new one. Boot it back and you should be running your new drive. Keep in mind I've only used this on IDE drives. I dont know how/if it works on SATA drives.
