Hi.

i don't know if anyone knows anything about the games medieval 2 and oblivion, but i have a problem with my graphics card and they are the only games i have installed. i have artifacts (thick scattered horizontal lines) on the screen in loading screens in medi2 and on the campaign game, and in oblivion the computer freezes and crashes every time i leave the first dungeon. It's strange because oblivion runs fine "inside" fast all the time. the really strange thing is that battles on medi2 are also fine, and you'd think they would be really demanding. the latest drivers are installed and it says device is fine in DM. Oh - important thing - everything was fine until a few days ago when mr stupid thought he would reinstall windows to unclutter the computer. when i reinstalled windows - xp pro to xp pro - that was when things went wrong. i can't believe my hardware's damaged because nothing's happened to it. oh but there is a layer of dust on my card - a geforce 7600GS agp (N7600GS). i dont know what to do to get it off without blowing it up though. well done if you read all this and still have a head by the way.

What are the temps like?, artifacts are usually caused by temps. Although you said it was fine 'till you re-installed windows.

To get the dust off the card, remove it & dust it off with a clean paintbrush.

Have you tried different (WHQL) drivers for the video card?
